How to Play Powerball

Powerball is a popular Australian lottery with a guaranteed minimum Division 1 prize pool of $3 million and a record jackpot of $150 million.

A single game of Powerball requires you to choose 7 main numbers from 1 to 35, plus 1 Powerball number from 1 to 20.

Each Thursday, 7 balls are drawn at random from the 35 main numbers. Then the Powerball is drawn at random from another barrel of 20 balls.

Powerball entries close on Thursdays at 7:30pm AEST/8:30pm AEDT.

Powerball is drawn on Thursdays at 8:30pm AEST/9:30pm AEDT. 

To win Division 1 you need to match your 7 numbers and your Powerball number in a single game with the winning numbers for that draw. The 7 winning numbers may be in any order.

A minimum of 2 winning numbers plus the Powerball number is necessary to win the lowest Division (9).
