WA's Division 1 winners yet to claim lotto millions

2 min read

Lottery officials are still searching for the WA winner of last week's $50 million Powerball draw, who has yet to come forward to claim their $16.6 million share. The winning ticket was purchased from a Padbury newsagency and players in the area are being encouraged to check their tickets against last Thursday's numbers - 13, 9, 26, 18, 4 and 34, with a Powerball of 3.

A spokesperson said that Division 1 winners were usually "quite prompt" to claim their prizes, but that the winner could be unaware of the enormous windfall awaiting them, or simply "waiting for the right time" to come forward.

The other two Division 1 winners from the $50 million mega jackpot, both from Victoria, have already claimed their shares.

Meanwhile, the winner of a Division 1 prize in the weekend's $4 million Saturday Lotto draw is also yet to be identified. WA's two winning tickets, each worth just over $700,000, were purchased online and from an Albany newsagency, but the store has yet to meet the lucky winner.

The newsagent said the good news was already spreading across the town. "We're so happy that one of our customer's dreams of winning lotto has come true," she said, adding that she hoped the money would "enhance their life."

The online ticket was purchased by a Mandurah man, who said the win had alleviated his financial worries for life. The $700,000 prize would allow him to buy his first home and "be debt free."

The winning numbers from Saturday Lotto draw 3469 were 9, 7, 8, 34, 5 and 27, with supplementary numbers 23 and 31. Could you be Australia's next millionaire? Oz Lotto jackpots to $5 million tonight - official tickets are on sale now.
