A great grandmother from the Perth suburb of Wembley has won a half-share of last weekend's Saturday Lotto Division One jackpot prize, netting her an amount of just over $2 million.
The full amount won was $2,046,401.86. She plans on sharing the money with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
"That's why I play Lotto, because I can share the joy of winning with my family," she said.
The woman learnt of her multi-million dollar news after watching the live telecast draw on Saturday night.
"At first I thought I wasn't reading the numbers on my Lotto ticket properly and my eyesight was playing up. But after I rang my daughter to come over and confirm the news we were so excited," she said.
The winning ticket was purchased at Herdsman Lottery Centre in Churchlands, and was one of two winning Division One tickets sold across the nation.
