A Castle Hill man knows exactly what he will be spending his prize on after his Powerball ticket made him more than $10 million richer! His Powerball results (NSW) changed the recently unemployed man’s life overnight. 

The NSW local spoke to lottery officials the following morning, explaining how he discovered the win. He had checked his Powerball results during a football game, noticing he had a few missed calls. Dismissing the calls as his friend calling to brag about the match, he hadn’t answered. 

The winner recalled the moment he realised he had won. Initially, he mistook the $14.60 cost of the ticket as his winnings. Once he realised how much he had won, an eye-watering $10,307,848.53, he almost fainted. 

The winner, aged in his 50s, explained that he had recently been let go from his job in the aged care sector because of COVID-19. However, he is ecstatic that he can now relax, stating that it is, “a good time of life to win.” He even knew exactly what he wanted to spend it on. 

To match his incredible happiness following the Powerball results, the winner is excited to use some of his winnings to buy a brand new smile. He shared that after learning the Powerball results he spent a sleepless night looking at options online. 

“I haven’t smiled in 20 years because my teeth are so bad. The first thing I want to get is some implants.”

The man also hopes to buy his first home, donate well to an animal charity he supports, and support some close friends. Further, once travel opens up, the man is eager to visit areas of his European family history and visit the US Masters Golf Tournament! 

Powerball Results: NSW sole winner

The winner took home the entire jackpot of Powerball draw 1265 on Thursday 13 August 2020. His 12 game market ticket was purchased online and amazingly matched all 7 winning numbers and the Powerball. 

The winning Powerball numbers for Powerball draw 1265 were 5, 24, 15, 16, 14, 32, and 6. The all-important winning Powerball was 19.
